Five Favorite Beauty Buys: November 2018

Lips: Lime Crime Velvetines lip liner in Cake

Lipliners over anything when it comes to lips. One of my favorite beauty brands, Lime Crime launched their lipliners in a really lovely velvet matte texture that are highly pigmented. My favorite shade is Cake, which is a taupey pink hue.

Eyes: MAC Cosmetics Kajal

In high school, I didn’t really use eyeliners. I would go to Satwa and stock up on kajal liners to wear instead so I am a little over the moon that MAC have launched their own version of the kajal liners in quite a few colors. Packaged in the same way Kajal liners are, but this one actually lasts and doesn’t smudge. I’ve been wearing the brown shade called ‘Marsala’.

Hair: SHOW beauty Moisture treatment mask

For someone that colors and bleaches her hair regularly, I invest in hair masks. I love this one by SHOW – incredibly hydrating, smells good and deeply conditions your hair without any sulfates or parabens. Ingredients include Caviar, White truffle, soy and hydrolyzed pea proteins – ultimate luxury.

Concealer: Charlotte Tilbury Magic away concealer

Every time I hear about a new Charlotte Tilbury launch, I do get excited because I know it’s going to be a good one.  I’ve been using her Magic Away liquid concealer this month, and I must say I’m in love. Comes with a sponge applicator tip, the coverage is great with hiding any imperfections, and also highlights at the same time it conceals. I’m using shade number 6 medium.

Loose Powder: Too Faced Peach perfect mattifying loose setting powder

I live for Too Faced, and their incredibly cute collections. My favorite from the peach collection is the setting powder. Infused with peach and sweet fig cream, the powder smells so good, it’s light and gives you a soft matte finish.

Chic Stay: Corinthia Hotel Budapest

Ideal for…  a grand stay in Budapest (it has been said Director, Wes Anderson was inspired by the hotel for the movie – The Grand Budapest Hotel) What:  Corinthia Hotel, Budapest The Rooms:  Spacious, quite modern compared to the exteriors – but space in Europe definitely feels like the ultimate luxury. I stayed in a junior suite, which was lovely – interior was – it was quite simple, but the wow factor goes to the gorgeous walk in closet I had. The Toilets:  Corinthia Hotels use ESPA products, and the Budapest one was no different. The Breakfast:  Even though I had the option of the breakfast in the lobby, as well as the lounge – I opted for room service on all the days due to the early starts. One thing the Hungarian do really well is their homemade butter, so the pastry basket was on point. The Food (restaurants & bars): -Sky Lounge with a view -Rickshaw (asian) -Caviar & Bull (order their beef tartare and their homemade truffle butt...

Restaurant Review: Enigma, Dubai

Ideal for… an authentic culinary concept Restaurant name and location: Enigma restaurant, Palazzo Versace Hotel Cuisine: Persian Atmosphere: Quiet, and attracts hotel guests. What they say:  Enigma restaurant’s culinary tale continues to evolve as it features the ‘Taste of Persia’. Inspired by the Iranian origins of our Michelin starred Executive Chef Mansour Memarian, it is the most authentic culinary story to grace the kitchens of Enigma. What to order: -Beetroot salad (fresh – and a lovely light starter) -Masto Khiar wa Naana (yoghurt, cucumbers and mint – but they also have a large range of yogurt options) -Kabab Kubide (super flavorful – my favorite kabab) Service: Islam, our server was super sweet and knowledgeable What I loved: -The cheese they offer with bread and vegetables is made in house – delicious and one of the best I’ve had in a while. -Concept changes every 3 months – at the moment it’s Persian food -If you’re a fan of...

Design Pick: LG Signature Refrigerator

I live for food. I’m obsessed with finding the best restaurants around the world to indulge in, but I also care about what goes into my body and try to maintain a healthy lifestyle. With the LG SIGNATURE refrigerator, my culinary experience at home is taken to a new level. InstaView Door-in-Door is a feature unlike any other. A sleek mirror glass panel on the face of the fridge does more than provide aesthetics. With two simple knocks on the panel, it illuminates like something out of a space age movie and showcases the contents of your fridge. This feature reduces cold air loss and keeps food fresher for longer. One of my favorite elements is Auto Open-Door technology which, as you can probably guess, enables the refrigerator door to be opened without lifting a finger. Not to worry… It won’t simply open unannounced, the InstaView features a smart sensor detector, conveniently located by the foot of the fridge. A light projection on the floor reads ‘Door Open’. Gently stepping on it...
