Chic Stay: Corinthia Hotel Budapest

Ideal for… a grand stay in Budapest (it has been said Director, Wes Anderson was inspired by the hotel for the movie – The Grand Budapest Hotel)
What: Corinthia Hotel, Budapest
The Rooms: Spacious, quite modern compared to the exteriors – but space in Europe definitely feels like the ultimate luxury. I stayed in a junior suite, which was lovely – interior was – it was quite simple, but the wow factor goes to the gorgeous walk in closet I had.
The Toilets: Corinthia Hotels use ESPA products, and the Budapest one was no different.
The Breakfast: Even though I had the option of the breakfast in the lobby, as well as the lounge – I opted for room service on all the days due to the early starts. One thing the Hungarian do really well is their homemade butter, so the pastry basket was on point.

The Food (restaurants & bars):
-Sky Lounge with a view
-Rickshaw (asian)
-Caviar & Bull (order their beef tartare and their homemade truffle butter)
-Bock Bistro

Pool, Spa & Gym: Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, the Royal Spa is worth checking out. They have a gorgeous 15 metre swimming pool (the spa used to be a Turkish Hammam years ago). The spa uses ESPA products for all their treatments – I got a full body massage on one of the days, and a foot massage on another.
Price: Starts at EURO300

Extra points:
-The Location: close to everything and quite central
-Bedtime chocolates: Every night the hotel leaves homemade chocolates with a different fruit filling -as well as a note card with the fruit’s benefits.
-The design: Fell in love with Budapest’s grand architecture, and you definitely feel that within the hotel’s design.
-The service: If there’s one thing the hotel really aced, it’s their service. The staff were super sweet, incredibly helpful and very accommodating.

Restaurant Review: Enigma, Dubai

Ideal for… an authentic culinary concept Restaurant name and location: Enigma restaurant, Palazzo Versace Hotel Cuisine: Persian Atmosphere: Quiet, and attracts hotel guests. What they say:  Enigma restaurant’s culinary tale continues to evolve as it features the ‘Taste of Persia’. Inspired by the Iranian origins of our Michelin starred Executive Chef Mansour Memarian, it is the most authentic culinary story to grace the kitchens of Enigma. What to order: -Beetroot salad (fresh – and a lovely light starter) -Masto Khiar wa Naana (yoghurt, cucumbers and mint – but they also have a large range of yogurt options) -Kabab Kubide (super flavorful – my favorite kabab) Service: Islam, our server was super sweet and knowledgeable What I loved: -The cheese they offer with bread and vegetables is made in house – delicious and one of the best I’ve had in a while. -Concept changes every 3 months – at the moment it’s Persian food -If you’re a fan of...

Facial Massages 101

I rarely get facials done, but when I do – I truly live for the facial massages. The best part is, the massages aren’t only there for you to relax, it’s because it actually helps your skin from the inside. This month, Rebecca Treston at Euromed (my favorite person in the city for skin) shares her knowledge on why you should be getting regular facial massages. Facial Massages: Are they essential? What is it good for? How often should we be doing them? Is there such thing as too much? Massage is important because it brings oxygen and fresh blood to the area, especially if someone can’t afford to do regular treatments. When you massage the skin, you can improve the circulation, exercise the muscles and relieve any tension from your face, similar to the way in which a body massage would. Those who cannot afford to invest money or time in regular facials can really benefit, which is why at-home tools such as Clarisonic has become popular. If you want to experience a clinic-based facial m...
